Buddy, the Naturally 4 Paws foster needs a forever home!

He’s a Border Collie mix who is approximately 3 years old and weighs around 60 pounds.  He was a Kitsap Humane Society seizure case from a serious neglect and abuse situation. Buddy had a horrible skin condition and a yeast imbalance. His body had large bald, red, heavily flaking, greasy areas. He suffered intense itching and open, raw skin as well as oozing spots between his toes with a yeast infection in his ear.

Shortly after getting him, we discovered most of his front teeth were broken off. This is usually due to being chained or caged for long periods and being desperate to get out. A "Special Thanks" goes out to everyone that contributed to our fundraiser to cover his $2400.00 in medical and dental bills. Buddy had 14 tooth extractions, 2 root canals & 2 silver crowns on his lower canines. Now Buddy smiles with BLING!

We are happy to announce Buddy has recovered nicely. We put him on a grain free diet with products to eliminate his yeast imbalance. His coat has filled in handsomely, his skin has healed and the yeast is gone. Buddy is a happy, playful, healthy boy.

Buddy has a very easy going and friendly demeanor. He currently lives with 4 other dogs and one cat, whom he gets along with famously. He has done well with basic obedience training and has a reliable off leash heel. He loves romping in the woods, playing in the water and going for car rides.
